Equally Important...

“Everyone in our
democracy deserves to be treated with fairness and justice, and have that right
in our constitution.” Throughout history, equal rights have always been a major
issue in many countries like Philippines. People have fought and died to
protect their rights and the rights of their love ones here in our country.
Most
people assume that citizen’s are the only ones who are being discriminated
against equal rights. Today women and men do have equal rights by law, and that
only holds aloft in the court houses. On the streets, men and women have to
deal with a different story everyday of their lives. Everyone of us deserves a freedom,
a freedom that we can feel that we are really free. We are free in expressing
our thoughts; we are free to do our happiness, we can feel that we are equal
and have the rights to choice whatever we want in life. We are everybody’s God’s
children, if what boys can, girls also can do that. There is no reason why we
should discriminate other people. We are all equal in the eyes of God.
Women
and men should have equal rights. We are both humans, we both cry, we both hurt,
and we both bleed. There is no reason why women should have fewer rights than
boys.
